Provide personal assistance as needed, requested, or required.
Assist the Activities Coordinator in carrying out planned activities.
Assure residents receive their snacks and assist them at mealtime as needed.
Administer scheduled medications to residents with following the six rights of medication administration guidelines.
Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
Record medication dosages and times.
Observe patients and document changes in their condition.
Help orient new residents admitted to the home.
Be able to apply all rules and regulations pertaining to the Family Care Home in addition to abiding and implemented rules of the Subchapter 13G for Licensing of Family Care Homes.
Report any accident or incident to Administrator Help maintain the self-respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident.
Work cooperatively with all other staff and relate favorably to residents, their families and visitors.
Be familiar with confidentiality of resident information and adhere to requirements.
Be familiar with and be able to apply all the adult care home's accident, fire safety, OSHA and emergency procedures.
Be familiar with the Adult Care Home Residents' Bill of Rights and assist residents in exercising their rights.
Participate in any job-related continuing education as required by Administrator.
Perform other related duties as assigned in accordance with licensing rules and the home's administrative policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation as required in resident services, such as progress notes, incidents, changes in condition, appearance and behavior of residents.
