The position is responsible for providing clerical support to the office in general and to present a positive image to those who contact the church by phone or in person.
The position is also the primary Administrative Assistant and support for the Lay led ministries of the church.
The position works under the immediate supervision of the Associate Pastor.
Responsibilities:
A.
Opens and closes the church office B.
Receives, screens, and directs incoming calls C.
Greets church members and the public and signs for deliveries.
D.
Prints and distribute weekly worship handout, teaching guides, and prayer sheet E.
Maintains Homebound ministry list and prints, burns, and mails CDs and newsletters F.
Gathers and opens incoming mail and general church email and distributes to appropriate persons G.
Takes messages and distributes to the correct person in a timely manner H.
Applies postage and mails correspondence I.
Handles email services for the general church email.
Answering questions or routing to the appropriate person.

Ensures all office equipment (copiers, postage machines, folding machine, etc.
) is working properly and calls for maintenance when needed K.
Maintains and orders office supplies for church and ministerial staff L.
Maintains and restocks workroom supplies and keeps it stocked and tidy.
M.
Provides clerical support and helps facilitate ministry needs for lay ministry teams A.
Bereavement - Coordinate with the Bereavement committee when a funeral meal is needed as well as Gideon Bibles and acknowledgements B.
Facilities Reservations Computer Reservations:
After staff meetings, make any confirmations or changes to calendar, which may include phone calls to notify reserving party of any changes.
Paperwork Management:
Provide the paperwork needed and ensure that it is returned promptly with payment; set up and maintain files for paperwork.
Reservation Management:
Confirmations; payments received; keys picked up.

Homebound - Works with chair to create and email schedule.

Raceway Ministry - Prints/schedules/communications E.
Operation Christmas Child - set-up and promotion F.
WMU/WOM - Print/set-up/communications G.
Prayer Shawl - set-up/communications N.
Follows Admin Protocols O.
Cross Train to serve as back up for Finance office regarding Bank deposits, check writing Desired Personal Skills and Characteristics:
The Receptionist/Church Ministry Support should have strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail; Proficiency in meeting task timelines; Ability to multi-task; Be Creative; Demonstrates flexibility, can adapt well to changing priorities or situations; Problem solver; Self-directed and proactive; Has a can-do attitude.
Desired Professional Skills:
Written skills required to provide support to ministerial staff.
Proficient personal computer skills required (computer software used are Microsoft Office Suite, ACS Realm, Canva, and Adobe Suite, etc) Must be able to work and communicate well with all ages and personalities.
Must promote a positive, Christian attitude in all work activities.
Must use discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
