For Sale: 1978 Volkswagen Beetle in Concord, North Carolina for sale in Concord, NC
Vehicle Description STK 2882 1978 Volkswagen Beetle There is no Volkswagen that is more collectible, or fun-in-the-sun, than the classic Bug convertible.
This 1978 Volkswagen received a partial restoration in 2014.
It was repainted Alpine White and minor mechanical upgrades were performed.
The respray was well done and is in good condition.
Factory VW wheels mount Falken radials and the manual white vinyl top is in excellent shape.
The vinyl interior has been carefully refreshed - seats, carpets, door cards are all in good nick.
Faux wood accents are incorporated into the dash, which does have some imperfections in the pad.
A Pioneer AM/FM/CD player provides your music.
We do not believe that the 1600cc engine has ever required a rebuild.
Many folks have experienced frustration with the moody 'emission friendly' fuel injection used on this generation of the Bug.
In this case, converting the intake system to an aftermarket carburetor set-up has solved the issue.
This air-cooled engine now provides smooth power to the 4-speed manual transaxle.
Brakes are manual 4-wheel drum and a free-flowing exhaust system has been installed.
This very collectible Volkswagen classic has been well preserved.
Put the top down - the Outer Banks of North Carolina are calling ALL VEHICLES SOLD AS IS.
