Vehicle Description This 1970 Chevrolet C10 has the look of a farm truck that has been nicely restored to factory standards and at today's car shows that's exactly what people love to see.
While this one remains as honest as a hard day's work, you'll also sport a few desirable upgrades, like air conditioning.
You can instantly see that this Chevy is a cut above.
After all, these trucks were often used and abused, but we're told this one was under long-term ownership.
It may have even possibly been with only one family since new! So it's the kind of truck that gets extra care.
So the sheet metal shows quite well and the later respray in green continues to have a nice lister.
It makes for a terrific way to show off the stepside bed.
There were the right investments here, but nothing is ever over-done.
You have white steel wheels, simple hubcaps, and real textured wood in the truck bed.
It's all just honest and that's awesome.
The interior continues the truck's straightforward appeal.
You can tell it has been under proper care with the clean bench seat, good carpeting, nice door panels, and a smooth dash pad.
We're pleasantly surprised to see cold-blowing air conditioning to make this a nice modern cruiser.
But this never gets too fancy, and that's why there's just a steel plate for the radio delete.
Instead, the attraction for this one is getting in touch with the generation that came before you as you feel the grooves of the thin/grippy stock steering wheel.
Lift the hood and see a true marvel.
Hardly any of the smooth running 230 cubic-inch straight-six motors are seen in vintage Chevy trucks anymore.
Although these anvils of a motor were the backbone for the company's dependability reputation, they often get replaced by the small-block V8s.
We understand why this happens and sell plenty of those custom trucks.
But with so many of those out there, it's refreshing and rare to see money invested into making this workhorse look so stock and attractive.
We're not alone.
Those who want to sneak a peek at your stalwart C10 will expect something this honest in the engine bay.
But beyond just appearance, features like the three-speed manual transmission, newer tiers, and trailing arm rear suspension means this one still knows how to be a proper cruiser.
This is the C10 that can make lumber run on Saturday, and then you can take it to the car show on Sunday.
It's the family heirloom that reminds us the best nostalgia includes a real day's work.
