Vehicle Description STK 3278 1984 Ford Ranger Ford introduced the Ranger pickup in 1983 to compete with the Chevy S-10.
The first generation Ranger was a body-on frame design that adopted many elements from the Ford F-150.
This 1984 Ranger 4x4 regular cab is owned by NASCAR Champion Ricky Craven and has had a partial restoration.
The body was refinished in Light Desert Tan and the bed w/sprayed liner has a custom tan vinyl tonneau cover.
The truck sits nice - raised, but not too much.
Beautiful X-D Series alloys mount Mastercraft Courser MXT off-road radials.
Inside, the vinyl interior is in very good condition and the dash contains a full compliment of factory gauges.
Other features include an AM/FM sound system, cruise control, tinted windows and a sliding rear window.
The cab is fitted with air conditioning, but it is currently inop.
Horsepower is provided by Ford's 2.
8L V6 that has never required a rebuild and runs well.
It is backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission and manual 4-WD transfer case.
The chassis features manual steering, disc/drum brakes and Auto-locking front hubs.
The Ranger is fitted with Ford's Twin I-Beam independent front suspension and traditional rear leaf springs.
This is a fun ride that any Blue Oval fan will enjoy.
