Vehicle Description STK 3681 2001 Chrysler Prowler The Prowler was Chrysler's retro-styled production car based on the 1993 concept car of the same name.
It was manufactured and marketed by Chrysler from 1997 until 2002.
The Prowler's front-engine and rear-transaxle configuration facilitated an almost perfect 50-50 front-rear weight distribution.
Originally conceived and designed as a coupe by car designer Chip Foose, it was modified to be a roadster for production.
Featuring predominately aluminum construction, Prowlers were assembled by hand at Chrysler's CAAP Detroit facility.
This unique performance car is powered by Chrysler's SOHC 3.
5L 24-V fuel-injected small block.
The aluminum V-6 produces 253bhp at 6400 RPM, more than enough to propel this lightweight roadster.
Its semi-automatic 4-speed/OD 'Autostick' transaxle can be driven as an automatic or shifted manually.
This 2001 Prowler has been carefully maintained and the Pearl White exterior is in outstanding condition, factory alloy-spoke wheels sport Continental performance radials, and both front and rear bumper assemblies have been eliminated.
The Black leather interior and manually operated fabric convertible top (w/glass window) are also in very good condition.
Features include A/C, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel and premium AM/FM/cassette sound system.
The roadster's strong, lightweight aluminum chassis is equipped with power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes.
The Prowler is a modern-day 'deuce roadster' that is comfortable, fun to drive and dependable.
